Agreed PeeJay, captcha’s are a complete waste of everyone’s time. Some server-side script would take care of most problems without annoying users.

I can’t begin to estimate the number of times I’ve had to refresh one because I couldn’t even make out the characters. Why should users be correcting these ‘mistakes’? Captcha staff should be reviewing them but of course this would affect their bottom line.

There are certainly better ways to deter spamming than annoying and deterring user registration with asinine and convoluted procedures.

lets admit it captcha is a bit annoying, but on the other hand it’s very useful because it serve as a anti-spammer. :D

you dont have to put the 7/8
recaptcha is actually supriseingly lenient. i never type any punctuation or fractions. i have had times where ive hit enter instead of space (early morning, no sleep). only half done and it still accepted
